Green economy e mercato del lavoro

Francesca Sperotti

PRISMA Economia - Societ? - Lavoro, 2011, vol. 2011/2, issue 2, 13-27

Abstract: The transition towards a low-carbon economy is deeply influencing current and future labour markets in terms of employment, jobs profiles and skills. With respect to the workforce, this change does not directly imply the creation of new jobs and specific skills, but rather the "greening of existing jobs" and the upskilling of their existing skills-portfolio. As a consequence, the matching of skills to jobs has become a strategic priority in most countries. As an answer to this challenge, education, training and retraining can be considered as the powerful levers to enable all workers to benefit from the new job opportunities offered by the green economy.
