Abstract: Can culture rehabilitate spaces with a powerful strategic orientation, giving new life to old and abandoned buildings? It certainly can, but only with a wise and creative project: factories, warehouses, archives and a lot of dismissed places have been turned into cultural spaces, open to different kinds of audience. The essay offers a few examples of successful cultural containers.
