Abstract: The aim of this short paper is twofold: to stress, in general terms, the ideas and prescriptions of liberalism and free market theory and to outline the well-balanced mind guiding Epicarmo Corbino, an Italian economist and politician of last century, who was a liberal and a supporter of free economy, but never a libertarian in political as well in economic field.
