Abstract:
Luigi Einaudi, a leading liberal economist, public finance theorist, economic historian and historian of economic thought, continually moving to new and broder horizons, did not fail the study of historical method and of different ways of writing economic history. The purpose of this paper is to call attention to certain aspects of Einaudi?s ideas in the field of historical research methodology and their appropriate use. Space does not permit a detailed statement of his analysis and suggested solutions. Therefore, we shall confine ourselves in remembering the following point of major interest: a solid bridge between two worlds, that of the economy and of the economic theory, is strongly wanted and requested.
