Abstract: Methodical principles of modeling a long-term development of the region’s fuel-and-energy complex are considered, features of the scenario approach to forecasting economic and energy systems are described, the author’s technique of modeling the scenarios of power development in the region for the long-term is formulated. With the use of the technique two development scenarios of the fuel-and-energy complex of the Russian Far East for the period up to 2030 are modeled and a comparative analysis of the scenarios by basic targets of development of the region’s fuel-and-energy complex is carried out
