The South Altai (the Way to Use its Natural Resources)

Abstract: Presented is a detailed general physical-geographical and economic characteristic of the South Altai. Five districts with subdistricts are singled out in its territory. Detailed description is given of the population and economy, and economic types are identified. It is shown that the South Altai makes it possible to attain, at the lowest cost, great results both in terms of enhancing its productive forces and developing economic cooperation base
