Abstract:
This article summarizes the main points discussed at the seminar on The Exhaustion of Resources: 150 years of One Economics Discussion?, presented by the Czech Economic Association (CEA) in January 2003. There were two main speakers at the seminar: the first was Mojmír Hampl (Èeská spoøitelna, a. s.), who presented a paper on ?The Exhaustion of Resources ? A Short History of An Academic Controversy?. The second was Otakar Hevler (CCS Èeská spoleènost pro platební karty, a. s.), who read a paper on ?The Exhaustion of Oil? Challenges for the Future?. The presentations were largely drawn from material available in the Czech Economic Association Bulletin, No. 43, which can be found on line at www.cse.cz (a Czech-language site).
