Abstract: Malaysia has been actively involved in environmental issues since 1980. Malaysias rapid urbanization and industrialization have intensified the environmental problems. A potential way of addressing this issue would be to increase the environmental awareness among the public. The objectives of the study described here were to assess the level of environmental knowledge among Malaysian residents in Sabah and Sarawak, to examine the sources of their environmental knowledge, and to analyses the relationship between knowledge and environmental attitude and practice.
