Abstract: In the midst of unpredictable world economic fluctuations, organizations are learning two challenging lessons: one that globalization is irreversible, and, second, organizations must remain vigilantly prepared to adjust to the ever-changing business environment. In fact, business leaders consider that the recent business environment is in a state of crisis. However, it is acknowledged that effective management of workforce can serve to grasp the opportunities that will propel them ahead within the global competitive arena. The recent global recession has witnessed a paradigm shift in offshore outsourcing and immigration. Multinational companies (MNCs) are now deliberately using outsourcing to transform their business processes rather than simply to lower costs.
