Abstract:
Different economies use diverse strategies for sustainable economic growth. Developing and supporting SMES in any economy may be one of the sources to support the economic growth. It is understood that many external and internal factors influence the entrepreneurs satisfaction to engage them with internationalization of business. This research paper seeks to investigate the international factors which influence the entrepreneurs decision to engage them in internationalization. Contextualizing the topic to Yemen, it is assumed that SMES expansion at domestic and international level may provide an edge for opening new avenue of development. Almost 125 SMES entrepreneurs are approached in this study directly and indirectly. The data thus collected is subjected to quantitative measures in order to arrive at an inference on barriers on Internationalization and how it influence entrepreneur to go global. The result of this study provides deep insights into factors which influence entrepreneurial motivation during SMES internationalization process.
