Abstract: On 29-30 January 2015, Ca' Foscari University of Venice, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) host the GGKP's third Annual Conference on the theme of "Fiscal Policies and the Green Economy Transition: Generating Knowledge – Creating Impact". Re3 is pleased to publish the insight by Carlo Carraro, Suneel Pandey and Steven Stone drawn from the Green Growth Knowledge Platform blog, presenting the case for using fiscal policy to achieve economic, social and environmental goals - highlighting examples in the energy, water and transport sectors and outlining the challenges which exist in practice.
