Abstract: This paper summarizes the results of the 1990 Annual BALAS Conference. The major themes discussed were about "Opening Markets in the Americas:Free-Trade."The presentations covered issues on Trade and ForeignInvestment; Management; Marketing; Maquiladoras; Finance and Development, besides special topics about Business Ethics, Job Policy, Food-Processing Industry and Data Administration.
