The race issue in Brazil

Pedro Jaime

RAE - Revista de Administração de Empresas, 2020, vol. 60, issue 5

Abstract: There has been fierce debate on the race issue in Brazil in recent years. This is due to factors such as the achievements accumulated by the black movements since the beginning of the 20th century, the contributions of engaged social scientists, the results of socio-economic research undertaken by government agencies and civil society entities, the emergence of a new generation of black intellectuals and researchers and of a new wave of activism led by black bloggers and anti-racist white people, which has achieved great capillarity given the rhizomatic character of social networks. The field Management Science (I would prefer Management Science) has forgotten this topic that dates back to the origins of Sociology and Anthropology, at the end of the 19th century. The following are references curated by Professor Pedro Jaime to help overcome this gap.
