Abstract:
Anton Korinek was drawn to science from an early age. As a teenager growing up in Austria, he taught himself programming, studied neural networks, and participated in the International Chemistry Olympiad. He thought his future lay in the natural sciences, but when he reached college, he took a different path: He majored in economics.
