Abstract: The paper deals with a research made for S.C. Tasmania involving the motivation of employees. A system of values is involved in motivation, values which give a precise meaning and influences the degree of individual freedom, the accession to certain values. Optimal performance gave the result that, in research, intrinsic reasons are leading to higher and more stable performance over time than extrinsic ones.
