Abstract: The effects on the pace of economic development of the 2020 crisis caused by the pandemic significantly differed across Russia’s regions. The trajectory of exit from the crisis in January-April 2021 displayed some dramatic territorial differences, which must be taken into account when implementing regional policies and the measures of financial support for the regions.
