Abstract: This paper investigates the existence of common fixed points for mappings satisfying generalized rational type contractive conditions in the framework of bicomplex valued metric spaces. Our findings extend well-established results in the existing literature. As an application of our leading result, we explore the existence and uniqueness of solutions of the Volttera integral equation of the second kind.
