Abstract: We consider the noise-induced transport of overdamped Brownian particles in a ratchet system driven by nonequilibrium symmetric three-level Markovian noise and additive white noise. In addition to a detailed analysis of this system, we consider a simple example that can be solved exactly, showing both the increase in the number of current reversals and hypersensitivity. The simplicity of the exact solution and the model itself is beneficial for comparison with experiments.
