Abstract: Reconfiguration of PV arrays is one of the most suitable options to face issues affecting the power produced by panels, such as partial shading. This paper presents a reconfiguration procedure based on a genetic algorithm. The execution times obtained with the proposed approach validate its good performance compared with a traditional brute force algorithm. Finally, different shading patterns are considered in the simulations.
