Abstract: The small scale of Taiwan’s domestic market due to its land area requires businesses in the corrugated box precision printing machine (CBPPM) industry to formulate developmental strategies to compete on the global market. This study uses the decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory-based analytic network process, an evaluation based on distance from the average solution, and Strengths–Weaknesses–Opportunities–Threats analysis to construct and evaluate a model for the Taiwanese CBPPM industry’s developmental strategies. A hierarchy of five strategies with 16 criteria is established. The results indicate the most critical dimension is Strengths, followed by Threats, Weaknesses, and Opportunities, and that the optimal developmental strategy is a strategic alliance. The findings can provide the CBPPM industry with insights for developing developmental strategies.
