The Influence of Women’s Green Entrepreneurial Intention on Green Entrepreneurial Behavior through University and Social Support

Abstract: Green entrepreneurship has an extensive role in solving environmental issues and contributes significantly to friendly environmental practices. In this study, we examined the effect of green entrepreneurial intention on green entrepreneurial behavior through the mediating influence of university entrepreneurial support and moderating the role of social support. The nature of this study was cross-sectional, and data were gathered from a sample of 438 women university students. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was applied to test the proposed hypotheses. The findings indicate that green entrepreneurial intention significantly impacts green entrepreneurial behavior. Meanwhile, results reveal that the indirect effect of university entrepreneurial support on the relationship between green entrepreneurial intention and green entrepreneurial behavior was positive and significant. Moreover, findings show that social support positively moderated the link between green entrepreneurial intention and green entrepreneurial behavior. Lastly, this study concludes with practical implications for educators and policymakers in Pakistan.
