Abstract: This article is dealing with an examination of sound culture-standards which had been identified and analysed on the base of some enduring field research visits in the Republic of South Africa. The data material had been collected with the help of special instruments like "narrative interviews", "focussed interviews" and "participating observation". The samples of interviewees contained persons of different representative South African population groups as well as Europeans, mostly Germans working as experts, investors or managers in South Africa. The culture-standards which had been drawn from the broad data basis collected in the field are serving as conditional frame to designing practise-oriented and culture-specific Intercultural Trainings. By this step obviously a crucial gap has been closed, a gap between the findings of a methodologically controlled field research and the transformation of culture-standards to self guided learning processes which can be implemented by means of culture-specific learning programs. These programs enable the trainee to self-critically monitor the degree of his or her own ameliorisation of intercultural competence. The steps of training and learning have been outlined on the basis of the results of intercultural didactical research and lead the learner with his or her own chosen speed towards the goal, that is getting to know and understanding South African orientations which are relevant for behaviour and acting in everyday situations of intercultural encounters.
