Abstract:
On the contrary to general view, Feminist Economics has never been an economic view which favors andaccepts women as a superior power. Quite the contrary, it supports the idea that equality and justice is required foreveryone. Until the recent past in the absence of feminist doctrine, the economists, even the leading ones, ignored and excluded women’s labor out of economy and moreover, they accepted women as goods of men. At this point, the rise of feminist economics has become inevitable. When mainstream economics and today’s economy are examined in the light of feminist economic perspective, it is seen that the role of woman hasn’t changed for centuries. Even the woman took part in business life, she wasn’t paid the same wages as the men and couldn’t work under equal conditions. When women employment is taken into consideration, although it varies in terms of countries and levels ofdevelopment, women problems are same all over the world. And the main reason underlying these problems is that the mentality of societies has not been changed for centuries.
