Abstract: The tourism-led growth hypothesis has been researched for Turkey and many other countries for many years. The aim of this study is to analyze the relations between international tourism demand and economic growth in Turkey between 1995 and 2017. The relationships between variables were analyzed using Johansen cointegration and Granger causality tests. According to the results of Johansen cointegration test, there was no significant long-term relationship between the variables. According to Granger causality test results, there is a one-way causality relationship from international tourism demand to economic growth in the short term. In the effect-response functions analysis, it was found that international tourism demand had a positive effect on economic growth. In the analysis of effect -response functions, it was determined that the demand for international tourism had a positive effect on economic growth.
