Abstract:
In this study, it is aimed to determine the place of cognitive skills in labor force preferences and the problem of female labor force in Turkey's economic growth in the new social economy understanding and to reveal its results. In the study, descriptive analysis was made in the light of the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) database and the EUROSTAT database for the periods 2015-2019 and 2008-2020. In the light of basic statistical indicators, the current structure in Turkey for the training status of women employees was evaluated separately, and in addition to this, the effects of education in Turkey and 27 EU country groups were compared. In addition, the ratio of women in employment was examined in the light of other selected parameters. As a result of the study, it was seen that the number of women at all levels of education in Turkey is increasing and Turkey is ahead in this sense compared to the 27 EU country groups. Although the female workforce has been employed in different business lines with the increase in the level of education in recent years, it has been seen that they are more concentrated in the service sector due to their cognitive skills. The fact that the number of women in the labor force participation rate is up to half of that of men proves that women have gained an important place in the economy thanks to their knowledge and qualifications increased by education? It can be said that it is of quality.
