Abstract: In the study, it was aimed to reveal the relationships between the employees' perceptions of work overload, their turnover intention and their demographic characteristics (gender, age, marital status, work experience, education and income level). For this purpose, the data obtained from 103 employees of the retail chain store in Trabzon province were analyzed. The results of the research show that there is a negative significant relationship between the turnover intention and working time, but there is no significant relationship with gender, age, marital status, education level and income level. In addition, it was concluded that work overload affected the turnover intention in a statistically positive and significant way.
