Nationaløkonomisk tidsskrift, 2006, vol. 2006, issue 1, 287-303
Abstract:
This article presents estimates for the Danish general-government net lending over the period 1875-2005 and analyses the long-term fiscal development. The Danish general government's deficit has only significantly exceeded 3 percent of GDP during World War II and in the early 1980s, and the cyclical impact on the general government budget balance seems most often to have been relatively modest.
