Abstract: The paper covers the problem of the impact of the world financial crisis on the science sector and contains the analysis of current state and tendencies of S&T potential development in Russia. The authors mention the decreasing of S&T key indicators and business sector of science, although there is an opinion that the crisis is a new corridor of opportunities.
