Abstract:
The material is dedicated to assessing the scope of personnels'training for the digital economy. The analysis of personnels'training in digital technologies and production of related products and services in secondary vocational and higher education programs is presented. Issues related to the demand of organizations for information and communication technology (ICT) on professionals, as well as the position of graduates qualified in key ICT specialties on the labor market are considered. The material was prepared using data of federal statistical observations of organizations engaged in educational activities under programmes of primary, basic and secondary general education, secondary vocational education and higher education conducted by the Ministry of Education of Russia, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and Rosstat, as well as data from the Workforce Survey and sample survey of organizations' needs for employees to fill different professional groups’ vacancies conducted by Rosstat. There is growing demand for employees with professions. specialisations and directions in the field of digital technologies and production of related products and services. It’s connected with an increase in admission for certain professions, specialisations and directions to training programs of secondary vocational education, higher education programs - bachelor's, specialist's, master's programs and their share in the total indicators of the contingent. Russia is ahead of a number of developed countries such as the USA, Canada, France, Great Britain, Italy and the Republic of Korea in terms of the share of graduates from secondary vocational education, bachelor's, specialist and master's programmes and post-graduate training programmes in ICT. To a greater extent, organisations have needs in employees with such specializations as Web and multimedia application developers, software and application analysts, application programmers, software developers and ICT operation specialists. - More than half of the graduates of secondary vocational education programmes who have acquired a profession/specialisation in the field of computer science and computer engineering are not working in their professions, more than one in five graduates of higher education programmes who have obtained qualifications in computer and information sciences, computer science and computer engineering, information security.
