Employment of Baccalaureate Graduates in Russia: Motivation and the Choice of a Sector of Employment

Abstract:
This analytical material analyzes the employment of baccalaureate graduates, based on the data of the longitudinal study ‘Trajectories in education and careers’. It is shown, that • almost 2/3 of the surveyed graduates have a job, most of them work full-time; • more than 62% are employed in the private sector, 31% – in public sector organizations; • there are significant differences in motivational characteristics for young workers in the private and public sectors.
