Abstract: High-quality vocational education and training (VET) imposes special requirements to the material and technical equipment in vocational schools. The students there should be provided with the opportunities to master the most modern professional technologies, as well as to get used to optimizing their work with help of a wide range of basic and specialized digital tools. Furthermore, it is important to organize the comfortable educational environment for all VET participants. The surveys of the VET teachers and students conducted as part of Monitoring of the Economy of Education in 2020 included questions concerning the current resource limitations, the demand for the available equipment and assessment of its quality. The analysis of the data has shown that the VET students are often satisfied with qualifications of the teachers and quality of the educational environment. The most frequent reason for complaining is the insufficient quality of practice-oriented training. This problem is related to outdated technologies and equipment. The data from teacher surveys indicates that VET schools are equipped with training facilities and production machinery, but these resources are often in poor condition. It is found that the teachers and trainers significantly lack simulators and specialized software. Another severe constraint is the lack of equipment for inclusive education.
