Monitoring of Education Markets and Organizations (MEMO), 2022, issue 16, 1-41

Abstract: This issue examines the state of the school workforce in line with the changes taking place in the general education system. Identifying the qualitative characteristics that distinguish this stage includes linking to important contexts: age, length of service, and qualifications. An essential aspect of the analysis is the type of educational organization in which teachers work, in relation to the territory (villages, small and medium-sized cities, large cities, metropolitan agglomerations). It is stated that young teachers (under 30 years old, with less than 5 years of experience) are the most vulnerable and most dissatisfied category of teaching staff. Dissatisfaction with working conditions stimulates readiness to change the profession, not only the place of work. Teachers of the most productive age (with work experience 5 to 20 years of experience) in comparison with younger and older colleagues are more loaded both with their main work and bureaucratic duties. The majority of teachers consider their salaries salaries are unsatisfactory and would like to receive at least twice as much. At the same time they are not satisfied They are not only dissatisfied with the size of their pay, but also with the lack of transparency in the mechanisms of payroll calculation.
