Monitoring of Education Markets and Organizations (MEMO), 2022, issue 7, 1-41

Abstract: The analytical report presents the results of a survey of parents and teachers conducted as part of the Monitoring of the Economics of Education in 2020/2021 academic year. The determination of readiness and the identification of the main difficulties and challenges faced by the participants in the educational process during the period of the massive transition of schools to distance learning in the spring of 2020 were the key areas of analysis. Particular attention is paid to the issue of the availability of remote experience of schools and students before the pandemic and the assessment of its possible positive effects during the crisis. The massive transition to distance learning has updated and highlighted the problem of inequality in education. The analysis reveals which groups of students and teachers were most prepared for such a drastic change of the educational process format, who faced the greatest difficulties.
