Abstract:
This paper explores the concept of ϕ-pseudo 2-prime ideals within the framework of commutative rings. Let R be a commutative ring having a nonzero identity and ϕ:LR⟶LR∪∅ be a function, where LR is the lattice of all ideals of R. A proper ideal I of R is said to be a ϕ-pseudo 2-prime ideal if whenever ab∈I−ϕI for some a,b∈R, then a2n∈In or b2n∈In for some n∈N. In addition to giving various properties and examples related to ϕ-pseudo 2-prime ideals, the characterization of some important ring structures such as von Neumann regular rings is given in terms of our new concept.
