The δ-Sharp Operator in Ideal Topological Spaces and Its Induced Topology

Abdo Qahis and Heyam H. Al-Jarrah

Journal of Mathematics, 2026, vol. 2026, 1-11

Abstract: In the framework of ideal topological spaces, this paper introduces a new operator called the δ-sharp operator. We examine its fundamental properties and compare its behavior with both the classical sharp operator and the δ∗-operator. Using the δ-sharp operator, we construct a Kuratowski-type closure operator, denoted δCl♯, and verify that it satisfies the Kuratowski closure axioms. This leads to a topology ϒδ♯ induced by δCl♯. Furthermore, we show that this topology is strictly finer than the ϒδ-topology and strictly coarser than the sharp topology ϒ♯. Several additional structural relationships among the topologies arising from these operators are also established.
