On the (α, β)-Metrics of Conformally Flat Type With Weakly Isotropic Scalar Curvature

Abstract:
This paper considers Matsumoto metrics of conformally flat type that have weakly isotropic scalar curvature and proves that they reduce to Riemannian metrics or locally Minkowski metrics. In this case, they have zero scalar curvature. Similar results are also proved for the Kropina metrics. Thus, we have classified these classes of α,β-metrics.
