Abstract:
A stochastic generalization of the Ricker discrete populationmodel is studied under the assumption that noise impacts thepopulation reproduction rate. The obtained results demonstratethat the demographic-type stochastic noise increases the risk ofthe population extinction. In particular, the paper establishesconditions on the noise intensity under which the population willextinct even if the corresponding population with no noisesurvives.
