Abstract:

We investigate the principal functions corresponding to the eigenvalues and the spectral singularities of the boundary value problem (BVP) ð ‘Ž ð ‘› − 1 𠑦 ð ‘› − 1 + ð ‘ ð ‘› 𠑦 ð ‘› + ð ‘Ž ð ‘› 𠑦 ð ‘› + 1 = 𠜆 𠑦 ð ‘› , ð ‘› ∈ â„• and ( ð ›¾ 0 + ð ›¾ 1 𠜆 ) 𠑦 1 + ( ð ›½ 0 + ð ›½ 1 𠜆 ) 𠑦 0 = 0 , where ( ð ‘Ž ð ‘› ) and ( ð ‘ ð ‘› ) are complex sequences, 𠜆 is an eigenparameter, and ð ›¾ ð ‘– , ð ›½ ð ‘– ∈ â„‚ for ð ‘– = 0 , 1.
