A Fourth-Order Ulm-Type Method for Inverse Eigenvalue Problems

Xin Li and Wei Ma

Journal of Applied Mathematics, 2025, vol. 2025, 1-11

Abstract: In this paper, we propose a fourth-order Ulm-type method for solving inverse eigenvalue problems based on a two-step Ulm-type iterative process and Cayley transform. Under some mild assumptions, our results indicate that our method is fourth-order convergent. The numerical implementation proves the effectiveness of the proposed method.
