Abstract: The paper focuses on the major issues related to adjustment of respective areas of quality solutions to EU requirements. Particular emphasis has been placed on presenting the current status of implementation of standardised quality systems and the concept of self-assessment in Polish companies. Legislation applicable to product conformance evaluation has been characterised. The paper presents recently introduced statutory solutions with regard to legal protection of consumers against dangerously defective products, including manufacturerÆs liability for products.
