Abstract:
The objective of this paper is to analyze how parents' occupations determine occupational success or employment sector of their kids. For this purpose, 1991 Encuesta de Estructura, Conciencia y Biografía de Clase and 2004 Encuesta de Calidad de Vida en el Trabajo have been used. The results indicate that family background still has a significant effect on occupational and sector choices.
