Abstract: This paper attempt to analyse the root causes of the Under-performance of the algerian agriculture and its implications on the weakening of the country's food security. Through a meta-analysis of many empirical studies related to the issue of Under-performance of Algerian agriculture, we are trying to summrize the main causes and consequences of this lack of performance on the food security of Algeria. Finally, we propose a few lines of thought that can improve the performance of the Algerian agriculture and reduce its food insecurity.
