Abstract: This study proposes to analyze the close connection between sustainable development, ecology and coming back to tradition. In order to do so, a solution is given to the ecology implementation and to the sustainable development through Romanian traditions. Even though humankind has always been subjected to nature, living according to it and almost always losing when facing a direct confrontation, lately, due to scientific and technical development, man has succeeded in winning some battles with nature and to subjugate it.
