Financial Position – Overview of Economic Performance in the Energy Mining Industry

Abstract: This study shall determine the economic performance of the entity in charge of mining – energy southwest region. Thus, the scientific approach is focused on the overall analysis of the financial position of the organization that operates the largest lignite deposit in Romania and contributes to ensuring the stability of the national energy system. This is an analysis of the patrimonial assets and liabilities and of the liquidity and solvency of the organization in the reference period. In this study we intend to get results that can be exploited by decision makers in the energy sector to improve the financial position of the organization with clear and strong future prospects.
