Teacher Leadership Concept: A Review of Literature

Abstract: This article is based on a literature review of teacher leadership studied by local or international researchers. This article was written based on the history of teacher leadership, teacher leadership models and previous studies that have been done locally and internationally. This paper also discusses on the issue pertaining to the teachers' self-awareness on the concept of teacher leadership whereby only teachers who served as principals and headmasters are assumed to have leadership. Further studies are needed to explore the practice of teacher leadership in the school.
