Abstract: "This paper deals with company expectations for 1997 with regard to employment. For this, details from the IAB establishment panel are examined separately for East (1st wave) and West (4th wave) with the aid of descriptive and multivariate methods. It can be seen that companies of individual industries or size categories in some cases formulate very different expectations. Using multivariate estimates, further company factors such as profit position can be identified. The structures in the old and the new federal states differ here only in individual points. It can be seen that the use of company data can lead to new and differentiated information being gained about employment expectations." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
