Die Mär vom starren deutschen Arbeitsmarkt: Anmerkungen zu Bernd Fitzenberger, Olaf Hübler, Kornelius Kraft (2008): Flexibilisierungspotenziale bei heterogenen Arbeitsmärkten - Eine Einführung. In: ZAF 2/3:95-116 (The tale of the inflexible German labour market)

Werner Sengenberger

Zeitschrift für ArbeitsmarktForschung - Journal for Labour Market Research, 2009, vol. 42, issue 1, 93-98

Abstract: "The author objects to a number of propositions which were chosen as the starting point of the research programme on flexibility potential. These theories include the allegedly inflexible wage structure that causes unemployment and the claim of poor labour market flexibility on the whole in Germany. The author criticises a narrow research approach which is biased towards rigidity and over-regulation or misregulation, and which does justice neither to the complex issues to be investigated in the programme nor to the current status of national and international research."
