Abstract:
The Housing Deficit in Bolivia has been studied in several areas of knowledge, with the main objective of knowing the gap between the housing requirement and the housing state (qualitative housing deficit). The present study focuses specifically on the study of the Qualitative Housing Deficit and comprises three stages of analysis, the first approximation of the qualitative statistics Habitual Deficit for Bolivia until 2014, characterizing household at the national level, for Area of residence (urban and rural) and departmental level. In the second, the calculation of the Deficit for the year 2014 is made, also identifying the degree of present Deficit. In the third and last stage, and in order to establish empirical evidence to explain the determinants of the probability of suffering Qualitative Housing Deficit by Bolivian households, a PROBIT molding was estimated for 2014 (urban sector), Which allowed the complete characterization of dwellings with Deficit approaching it from the data reported in the 2014 household survey.
