Abstract: The theoretical and practical aspects of pension system reformation in Ukraine have been considered in the article. The basic tasks and functions of the pension insurance multi-level systems have been singled out. The basic parameters of some world's pension systems have been observed. In particular, the brief characteristic of pension systems in fifteen countries of the world is given regarding the certain retirement age. The experience of pension insurance in the USA and Sweden is analyzed. The advantages and disadvantages of different world's pension systems and the possibilities of using foreign experience in the reformation of the pension system in Ukraine have been researched
