Abstract: The aim of the article is to reveal the essence of the concept 'investment activities' and 'investment process' and to identify the correlation between them. The subject of research are theoretical and methodological provisions of the investment process and investment activities. It is proved that the investment activities as a system and its implementation mechanism, should be considered at the macro, meso and micro levels, taking into account characteristics of industries in the relationship and interaction between the individual levels and spheres of the national economy. Interrelationship and interdependence between the categories is determined by the fact that the investment process is the internal content of successive transformations associated with the justification and implementation of investment. All its stage - from the moment of formation of investment intentions and decision-making before the results, specifies the content of the investment activity. The key to ensuring the investment process is the formation of the organizational-economic mechanism of investment activity in order to regulate investment flows and to maximize the positive effect.
